June POM: David Clemens
This month's POM was an easy choice, however held a few other strong months back from an award. David Clemens is awarded for his untieds on Bunker 1, including a very insane 0:22 on SA, as well as the highest WR total. These WR totals for Clemens are getting to be commonplace! A great first half of the year and especially June to him! Link: POM history for previous winners and overall standings
WR Setters this Month
June Summary One of the hottest new WRs this month was a stunning 0:22 Bunker 1 SA, set by David Clemens. Eddie Lovins came out with a new idea: Pause while doors are opening, and that wastes zero time, However then later, pausing is faster for the key coder. Lovins got 0:23 before releasing his new idea, and work on 0:22 quickly began. Clemens got 0:22.. but didn't even use the new idea. He DID use a new idea for 1:06 00A however. By letting Boris out of your sights, he begins to run. Shoot to get him back on track as close to the mainframe room as possible, and his move time is much faster. Clemens also had 5 tied WRs: he kicked off the month with an unexpected 043 on Depot SA. Nobody has played this level outside of A much in a long time. He also stole a few untieds from Boss from last month, including the 046 Egypt SA/00A, and 149 SII00A. Rayan Isran was another name throughout the month of June. Quite possibly the most impressive time of the month came with 158 Dam 00A, an untied. He claims the run was sloppy, and a lot of people got really pissed off at his arrogance. Then the video came out, and people don't even believe its real! Uh oh.. He also tied a handful of very strong WRs, including a Bunker1 sweep (at the time..) of 17/22/107. Boss kept working into June, and the craziness really wasn't slowing down for him. He grabbed 023 Frigate A (for a long time, this was considered one of the greatest untied WRs), and then set off to Facility. He swept it in 3 days, at 46/55/55 and claims he can do faster (the hell?). I guess that's why we aren't seeing him the rest of this month on the charts! He's up to something. Rounding out the untied record report was Ryan White recapturing his untied sweep with a 1:03 on Silo A. I don't think Boss is very interested in taking this back for a while, but the run was very impressive. Illu also improved his Aztec sweep, getting 132 on Agent. Glen Stevens had a good month, getting 3 tied WRs. Jimmy "jack bauer" Bauer nailed 3 in 3 days as well. Henning has been on fire - 2 more for him. I hope we see him in the top 10 WR count someday, because he has been tying these left and right. Single grabbers who haven't been mentioned yet include Luke Szklarz and Dan Cervone (eh?) with a couple of the GEE's quickest times (16 archA and 17B1A). Leonardo is probably the *most* impressive single WR grabber. He moves up with a +1 in the rankings without setting a WR! Congrats go to my shakey statistics grabbing abilities.
